Morning Musings
It was only a week ago that I was dragging Teddy Riley for doing the most with the least. And, well, here I am eating my own words.

This was my past Sunday:
10 a.m.: Watch the livestream at Soul City Church
11 a.m.: 30-minute Sundays with Love Peloton class
11:30 a.m.: Shower
12:30 p.m.: Video chat for my play niece's birthday
1 p.m.: Virtual book club
3 p.m.: Call with my mentor
4 p.m.: Virtual family game night
You might be asking yourself: "LT, how does your quarantine life manage to mirror your IRL life?" And I would say, that's a very good question, my friend. As I was recapping my Sunday lineup to my sister on Saturday, she commented, "It's like you go looking for things to do!" Well, just read me, sis.

Right after church, when I was contemplating if I could squeeze in a ride before the virtual birthday party, husbae said, "you just can't sit still, can you?" And I can't even get mad because they're both right.
So what's the deal? Idk. I don't think I've always been a busy body, but my parents might disagree. You know the saying "a body in motion stays in motion"? Well I think the same applies to me, "an LT in the motion stays in motion." I just keep going, and going, and going...

Because sitting down, getting still and being quiet requires me to think, to feel, to reflect, to process and, to be quite honest, in these times those thoughts can be a little scary. So I avoid and I run (or, in this case, bike...I earned my 75th cycling class badge this morning, huzzah!). See what I mean?
But every now and then, usually at daybreak when I can't sleep, I break out the journal and sometimes I break down. And then I'm on the run again, Beyoncé style.
Love,
L'Oreal

3. What You Miss Most is An Essential Clue to Who You Are. After following the directions for this quick thought experiment, I discovered what I miss most right now is visiting the lakefront. I mean, I am a water sign and being near bodies of water is a balm for me like no other. And because the lakefront has been closed in Chicago for weeks, ya girl is going through withdrawals. (Forge)
