Morning Musings
It's here, it's here, it's finally here!! After approximately four months of mockups, designs and redesigns, LTintheCity.com is FINALLY LIVE! EEEKKKK!
Late last year, I had the brilliant idea to revamp my blog. The design at the time didn’t feel like “me” and I wanted something that “popped.” But my creative abilities are limited to writing, so I hired a pro (shout-out to Narsha of Narsha.co!).
We went through concept to creation and even had a version ready to go earlier this year, but I didn’t love it. And I didn’t want to settle. So we went back to the drawing board. Four months later, here we are. Talk about a labor of love!
The perfectionist in me would probably wait until everything is perfect to launch, but let’s be real, perfection is overrated and unattainable. After listening to one too many podcasts and reading one too many books about “the time is NOW,” I knew it was time to shit or get off the pot (excuse my French).
I could either wait for everything to be "perfect" and still be waiting. Or I could just friggin’ do the damn thing already. The truth is, if we wait for the “perfect moment,” we’ll be waiting forever. The perfect moment doesn’t exist. And, at the end of the day, done is better than perfect. Sometimes you just gotta let go and let God.
As a thank-you for being my true blues, I'm giving y'all a first look at my new site. Be sure to check it out and let me know what you think!

This Monday was my little sister's birthday, it also happened to be National Siblings Day. Here's an essay I wrote for HelloGiggles about why she's my best friend.

My Latest Obsession

My friend, Anuli, is way cooler than I’ll ever be, so whenever she recommends something, I take notice. During a recent call (and in one of her recent newsletters), she mentioned the Pocket app and whoa buddy, talk about a game-changer! If, like me, you’re constantly roaming the Interwebs, but don’t necessarily have time to read the latest thinkpiece on the pop culture moment du jour, simply save it to the Pocket app or Google Chrome extension and voila, all those articles you saved for later in one place.
