Morning Musings
After a month of some solid self-care following my surgery, it seems as though my body (or, ahem, I) have returned to old ways. You know, pushing just a little too hard, doing just a little too much. Because, despite what I write, deep down I think I really, truly do belive I'm Wonder Woman.
And then along comes an ailment to remind me that I am, in fact, a mere mortal (okay, God, I get it, I swear!). As I write this my eyes are slightly crossing, my throat is aching ... this after I had a three-day stomach bug over the weekend. HALP!
So, with that in mind, I'm keeping this week's letter short and sweet. Happy holidays to you and yours! Celebrate safely. Love wildly. And please, for the love of all things holy, TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF!!
Love,
L'Oreal

Something I'm excited to incorporate into my 2018 #SelfCareSunday routine is "Fifty Feminist Mantras," a new book by Amelia Hruby. I first met Amelia at a Forth Chicago salon and was instantly intrigued by her weekly blog post-turned book project.
Inside are, as you might guess, 50 feminist mantras complete with guided reflections and writing prompts, as well as blank pages for journaling. Now that sounds like my kind of book! If you're in Chicago, join Amelia at at the official book launch party on Jan. 7, 2018. Who knows, I may just see you there! ;)Â Â
