"I dream it. I work hard. I grind 'til I own it." — Beyoncé
Morning Musings
Y'all, I don't know about you, but I'm still recovering from Beychella.
If, for some reason, you've been living under a rock and/or you didn't feel like staying up ungodly hours over the weekend the G.O.A.T. herself Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter headlined Coachella, which here on out shall be known affectionately as Beychella.

Seriously, I stayed up two hours after the concert ended at 3 a.m. CT on Sunday because my adrenaline was still rushing. And after watching the replay Sunday afternoon, I knew I had to channel my energy somehow ... so I went to the gym.
And then I knocked off just about every other item on my to-do list. Because I felt inspired, re-energized and motivated. Bey did that. You can read all about the #BeychellaEffect on the blog.
And I'm not the only one who's still in awe. My friend, Traci, with whom I live-tweeted and texted throughout Beyoncé's legendary performance, had this to say:
Beyoncé looked truly happy. Her 20-year grind had culminated to this moment. She smiled and laughed as she performed and looked free as a bird.
The twinkle in her eye could not be denied. It was the feeling of watching someone who was put on this earth to do exactly what they are doing and operating in their gift fully. It was mesmerizing, inspiring and uplifting. It made my heart sing to witness this. Being only a year older than her, I felt that I got a chance to experience the happiness with her because I have watched her journey.

My Latest Obsession

Like you, I've seen the Facebook and bus ads for THINX, the infamous period panties, for sometime. But my notorious fibroids and heavy periods made giving the eco-friendly replacement for pads and tampons a try nothing but a fantasy.
Now that I'm fibroid-free and my periods have returned to "normal," I jumped at the chance to review their latest forest green hiphugger style in honor of Earth Month. In short, I love them! Read more on the blog.
