Morning Musings
After six months of procrastination and self-doubt, I FINALLY finished my book proposal. YAYYY!!!

It was a lengthy process full of a lot of hemming and hawing, but I made it. Shout-out to my girls Anuli and Chasity for holding me accountable and everyone who pushed me to keep going when I felt like giving up.
Writing a book proposal about overcoming impostor syndrome while still dealing with impostor syndrome on a regular basis is quite the endeavor. A bit audacious, if you will.
But as my friend and fellow blogger Jessica Lauren of No Real Jewelry often says, "the only difference between you and them is they believed they could."
So I say all that to remind you that, often times, you're the only one standing in your way. It's so easy to compare yourself to everyone and make excuses (thus, the hemming and hawing I referenced earlier).
"I don't have enough followers."
"No one cares about what I have to say."
"I'll never be able to do X, Y and Z."
Stop it. Just stop right there. Enough of the negative self-talk. It's doing nothing to serve you, sis. Or build you up. So let. it. go!
Easier said than done, I know. But every time you hear your inner critic giving you a piece of its mind, I encourage you to shut that sh*t down and replace it with a more positive mantra:
"I am a badass."
"I am enough."
"I deserve to be here."
You got this. And, if you need a reminder, download these wallpapers courtesy of Anna Buckley (she's available for commissions, y'all!).
Love,
L'Oreal
P.s. If anyone knows of a nonfiction literary agent, holla at me!

My Latest Obsession

I've tried 30-Day Squat Challenges before, but never stuck to one before now (granted, I'm only six days in, but hey, who's counting?). When my friend Stephanie (hey, girl!) tweeted about this particular challenge, complete with an app, I took notice. The workouts slowly increase in intensity and the app includes easy-to-follow video tutorials. Here's to getting that Beyoncé booty after all!
