Morning Musings
A little while ago I proclaimed 2018 over and started planning ahead for my 2019 goals. But a recent newsletter from my friend Jessica Williams (aka @techbizgurl) reminded me there is plenty of time to get sh*t done in the few weeks we have left.
Now don't get me wrong, this isn't a last-ditch effort to "finish the year strong." It's simply a list of items I've been putting off all year and/or I want to prioritize before we ring in the New Year:

1. Update my resume. Truth be told, I haven't touched this document since I landed my current role last November. And while I'm not looking anytime soon, it never hurts to be ready in case Michelle Obama calls me to lead Global Girls Alliance (a girl can dream, right?).
2. Pitch Glamour and Essence. I've been sitting on a couple of story ideas that would be a great fit for these outlets. Time to hit "send" already!
3. Become a regular contributor for Shine Text. Yup, you've heard it hear first ... yours truly is the newest contributor for the daily motivational message app!
4. Write an essay about Michelle Obama for HelloGiggles. Clearly I have a lot to say about my Forever First Lady ... might as well get paid for it!

5. Raise my rates. As Jay Z said, "tonight I might/raise my price/Damn you, Hov, Jesus Christ." I have a whole 365 days of experience under my belt. So if you'd like to take advantage of my 2018 pricing for writing/editing/speaking/coaching, be sure to act before Dec. 31. ;)
6. Host our annual holiday party. This year's party is extra special because it's also doubling as the housewarming for our first home. Eek!
7. Finish reading Becoming. I just started the third part, "Becoming More," and I don't want it to end!

8. Unplugging over the holidays. Real talk: I'm kind of a workaholic, so I appreciate the time between Christmas and New Year's to press pause and recalibrate.
What are you hoping to cross of your to-do list before 2019? Hit "reply" and let me know ... I'm happy to hold you accountable!
