"Creating a life you love, like actually creating it, for real, and really loving it, will require that you always seek to grow and expand your heart, soul, mind, and vibration—to new levels." — Lalah Delia
Morning Musings
As you may have been able to surmise from this week's subject line, Jeff and I are expecting! Baby Payton is due to arrive this fall (and is also slated to be a Scorpio, so pray for Jeff). We are simply over the moon.
If you've been following our infertility journey, then you know it's been a long road (two years, five IVF cycles and four failed transfers, to be exact). I knew we were praying for this like our lives depended on it, as were our families and friends. But what I was not expecting—and what honestly still has me at a loss for words—is the number of people who've reached out to share they were also praying for us.
Words cannot even begin to describe how grateful we are for your support and encouragement throughout this journey, and especially your prayers. I'm simply overwhelmed with gratitude. Baby Payton is already so loved and it's because of you all. They say it takes a village to raise a child, thank you for being part of ours.
Love,
L'Oreal & Jeff

In my first article for Runner's World, I got to write about one of my favorite topics (Peloton) and interview one of my favorite people (mentor and friend Melissa Connelly).
And in my latest for The Muse, I wrote about job search tips to help you find a role (and company) that won't lead to burnout. Be sure to check them out and let me know what you think!

My Latest Obsession
Last week, I had the pleasure of interviewing Christine Platt about her new book, The Afrominimalist's Guide to Living with Less, and let me tell you—this one is a game changer as Platt explores more of the cultural mindset behind acquiring things as opposed to simply suggesting you get rid of items that don't spark joy. I've scoffed at minimalism in the past because let's be real, it's very white (and I mean that both in terms of aesthetic and audience). So you can imagine my delight seeing a Black woman take up space in this conversation.
