Q: So my boyfriend has been writing a book for the last 8 years. He’s been talking about finally putting it out into the world, but he’s not sure how. I know you’re well versed in this world, so any advice and/or resources would be appreciated!

A: If I had $5 every time someone asked me this exact question, I would have $15. And interestingly enough, it’s always the girlfriends who are reaching out on behalf of their partners (fellas, you can approach me directly, I promise I don’t bite). But anywho, here’s my advice…it depends! 💁🏾‍♀️

I know, I know—not the straight answer you were hoping for. But hear me out. How to publish a book depends on a variety of factors, so before diving into next steps, your boyfriend should ask himself the following questions:
