Introducing #AskLT
As a journalist, author, and mom who’s learned (and is still learning!) the art of balancing ambition and real life, I know firsthand how messy—and rewarding—the journey can be. Consider this your personal hotline to me—your BFF, cheerleader, and accountability partner all wrapped in one.
Q: What’s some advice you can provide for moms who would like to get into blogging?
A: First things first, congrats to you on daring to try something new! Motherhood is a full-time job in and of itself, so making space for your creative pursuits is a huge win. Give yourself credit for taking that first step. 🥳🎉
Now, let’s talk about blogging. The beauty of blogging is that it doesn’t have to be perfect—it just has to be you. I encourage you start where you are with what you have. It’s so easy to convince yourself that you need a fancy new website (I’m guilty of this!) or the most expensive equipment before you get started. But that’s simply not true.
The best way to get started is, well, to get started!
You may also be thinking to yourself, “There are a million mom blogs, why would someone read mine?” Well, I’m going to counter that and ask, “Why not you?”
