Thank you for sharing this so honestly. Giving ourselves permission to slow down or shift direction without labeling it as failure is such a powerful act of self-trust. Seasons change, and sometimes what once carried us so well no longer does—and that’s not defeat, it’s evolution.
I’m cheering you on as you find your next right thing. You’re moving in stride, even if it feels uncertain.
As someone currently building three things at once (while still trying to discern what deserves 80% and what gets 10%), I deeply resonate with this. May we both continue giving ourselves grace as we navigate what’s now and what’s next.
Love this! I am standing alongside you in this season of exhaustion. I secured a full-time gig with a compassionate team and decent pay...but I haven’t slowed the hustle down yet. I’m doing too many side things feeling overextended and overwhelmed. So yes, look for role if they bring you comfort. But also remember to practice letting things go before you get the role. we have to practice the rest & liberation we want before we get there or we won’t know how to use or recognize it when we arrive.
signed someone who can let some of it go, but hasn’t yet 😮💨
Haha love the self-awareness! and you're so right. I was waiting for this job as permission & realized I can give myself the permission and let go NOW to make space for the things I want, like this FT role, a deal for my next book and this baby. All things in due time. I appreciate and love you, friend! 💜
Just a hell yes to simplifying and giving yourself that permission slip. Money and structure and someone else telling you what to do (within reason) can totally support your other goals and ease the stress. Love the note that sometimes the timing is NOT right for certain things. Power on!
